Equal Potency
It’s going to be a busy week, I’ve arranged myself to do several extra things. I’ve already been to town to renew my railcard, the same day I had a three-hour practical in the morning (ug, I usually sleep in on Tuesdays). Today I held a System’s Analysis meeting, which didn’t go too well, but was fairly short. Tomorrow I am helping out the Systems Engineering society at the Fresher’s fair from 11am (again, I usually sleep in on Thursdays). So it’s early mornings all week!
This does mean I’ve had less time to spend on “extra curricular activities”. I’ve been wanting to update the site for a few days now, but been too tired in the evenings to do it. I’ve also been playing with wallpaper images, I’m still working with Kat’s image, I’ve done several things to it, but only one or two do any justice. By the way, Kat is Rob’s girlfriend. Rob is the American friend I wrote about in my last update. They are both very nice people. The other images I’ve been mangling are for Anime Society. We each get a membership card each year, and get to choose a front and rear image to be placed on them. Last year I made/found my own, as I wanted something a little different from the pre-cropped selections they had on offer. This year I am thinking of getting multiple cards, as there are more than two anime I would like pictures from.
But wait, there’s more! I also found the time to take some pics with my digital camera, so I can answer the burning question that I know is on everyone’s tongue, “What does Dave’s monitor look like?” Well, you can see on the right. You may notice my two guardians, Cthulhu and Chicken. Both are of equal potency, both may drive you insane at a moment’s thought…

We may be seeing more of these two soon, Chicken and Cthulhu have an awesome power which I cannot resist! Remember folks, “The Thing cannot be described – there is no language for such abysms of shrieking and immemorial lunacy, such eldritch contradictions of all matter, force, and cosmic order.” Or, as Matt likes to call him, “Squid Man”.

Finally, I know more about the Korean language now than I thought I ever would. Why? Well, that is a long story, one that involves, courage, bravery, passion, and “Good Wheat Rain”... I’ll leave that tale to another day.
